James Gallery Opening & Reception

What a nice evening reconnecting with art friends! What wonderful work! We were going just for a hour or so and then several hours later we were still enjoying this fabulous show. Many of the artists exhibiting their work have been mentors to me and are still my guiding lights.

November 14, 1-4PM The opening and reception was a success! Everyone had a great time! Good food! Good friends! Lots of people reconnecting! Thank you everyone for all your hard work on Seasonal Wonders. The South Arts Gallery, located in the Historic Schoolhouse, 2600 South Park Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102. Gallery Hours Wed thru Sat 12:00-4:00PM. Show closes December 19th.

Lovely shows!

Friday, November 6 Hank and I went to see,"five boys and a girl" and
Saturday, November 7th, we saw lots of friends at the, "Aqueous Open."

August 25 to September 25 my trip to England

Exciting time! On August 30, 2009, 3:33 AM, our 9lb 12oz grandson Jason was born. Mom, Dad, Sister and Granny are doing fine. I enjoyed my two lovely grandchildren and friends in England. I was sad to leave!

Welcome to the Art Explorer's Diary
Here is where I tell you about my website - a brief opening that will always stay here in this spot.

I want to give you all a big "Hello" from Kathleen Brown Lokay and welcome you to The Diary of the Art Explorer.

This is my first attempt at building a website and I'm feeling quite a bit of stress but determined to get this thing up and running.

Anyway, I'm a happy painter using watercolors, acrylics, and oil based paints as well as inks, colored pencils and
anything else I can find to make marks. I have been showing my work locally in various shows through several art organizations and at several galleries.
