I want to give you a big "Hello" from Kathleen Brown Lokay and welcome you to The Diary of the Art Explorer.  This is my first attempt at a building a website and I'm feeling quite a bit of stress but determined to get this thing up and running.  Anyway, I'm a happy painter using watercolors, acrylics, and oil based paints as well as inks, colored pencils and anything else I can find to make marks.

Traveling with my "art friends" to Maine, Colorado, Pennsylvania and some interesting international sites is a wonderful way to enjoy friends, good food and new painting sites.  Plein Air painting is exactly what I love to do whether in an apple orchard at a farm in Butler, PA, oil painting on the rocky shore of Acadia National Park in Maine, watercolor painting in Stonington Harbor, Maine.
